About Me

Welcome to Fishing With Mas! 

Hi, my name is Craig Masumiya.  My friends call me “Mas.”  Fishing is my passion.  I learned to fish from my dad many, many years ago, and I’m happy to share my experience with you!

I grew up fishing up and down the West Coast, lived in Maui for a few years, and have been living, working – and most importantly – fishing in Colorado for the last twenty years.

I retired in 2021 and I’m excited to finally devote my time to tying flies, hanging with my dog Yuki, spending time with my family, and teaching people the joy of fishing.  I firmly believe that a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of just about anything else!

My daughters convinced me to create this website and I will admit they’ve been teaching this old dog some new tricks.  It’s a work in progress so thanks for visiting and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me at cmasumiya@comcast.net
